July 8th Marks the First Adapted Kayaking Clinic
Fifteen children and their families attended the first Adaptive Kayaking Clinic one sunny Saturday morning in July. Led by Becky McVey and Jamie Mayo of the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation team at Michigan Medicine, this exciting clinic, made possible by the Mott Golf Classic, provided an opportunity for a fun, accessible day on the water.
North Star Reach Welcomes 335 Campers During 2017 Camp Sessions
During their second summer season, 335 children living with serious health challenges got to experience many “firsts,” including their first time to stay away from home in a place that isn’t a hospital. For many children it was also their first time to experience the kind of extraordinary summer adventures and joys other kids without medical challenges get to enjoy.
